Eighth Annual AngelCon Pitch Competition Awards Startup $125,000 in Equity Investment

Investors award startup GreenSight Technologies $125,000 in equity-backed funding, while ODIN Diagnostics wins $2,030 for the Audience Choice Award at the AngelCon 2025 event.

San Luis Obispo, CA - The Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to announce the results of its eighth annual AngelCon pitch competition. The fund raised a total of $125,000 in equity investment and investors chose GreenSight Technologies as the winner of AngelCon 2025.

AngelCon is a culminating event that brings together Central California tech-based startups who received training and mentorship through the SBDC and dedicated angel investors. These investors participate in the evaluation, due diligence, and selection process of AngelCon applicants leading up to the live event. Participating startups are seeking equity investment to assist in the growth of their businesses.

GreenSight Technologies competed among six startups to an audience of 17 investors and nearly 200 hybrid attendees. Led by CEO Jake Daniels, GreenSight Technologies simplifies the disposal of large-scale electronics and resale processes with data-driven solutions powered by advanced computer intelligence, enabling businesses to make faster decisions about their inventory. GreenSight has a mission to maximize recovery value through quick and accurate market insights and has created an electronic marketplace making it simple to extend the life cycle of technology with a future of sustainability in mind.

Among the AngelCon competitors was ODIN Diagnostics, a team dedicated to redefining concussion care using AI-powered eye-tracking technology to detect early brain injury and preserve brain health, founded by CEO Connor Heffler. ODIN was awarded the Audience Choice Award and received $2,030 in prize money from the crowdfunding campaign.

“This year’s AngelCon finalists truly raised the bar,” remarked Donica Forensich, CIE Senior Economic Development Director. “Each of these startups is not only bringing forward innovative, high-tech solutions, but doing so with a strong sense of purpose. It is incredibly inspiring to witness such mission-driven entrepreneurship thriving here in Central California.”
