Lions are a non-profit Service Club serving the communities of Morro Bay & Los Osos... providing eye screening, exams and glasses for needy students and families We provide food for hungry folks at the Morro Bay Community Dinners through our partnership with the Food Group and the Food Bank. We fund educational opportunity at Del Mar Elementary School and scholarships for Morro Bay High School. We change lives for needy individuals one car at a time through our Foundation's car give away program. We recycle bottles & cans to help the environment and fund our local charities. We support the City by providing turkeys and assisting with the annual Thanksgiving dinner, coordinating volunteers for the Amgen Bicycle Tour, providing and staffing our hot dog cart for Skeleton Saturday at the Natural History Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Morro Bay Open Space Alliance and we provide a food concession and flags for the City's annual 4th of July celebration. We also provide printed programs and help with the coordination of the Cayucos Lost at Sea memorial. We make donations to other local non-profits and charities including the City's Community Resource Connection, Morro Bay in Bloom, the Boy Scouts, the Maritime Museum, the California Lions Foundation and the City of Hope. We are always looking for new members who want to help make our community better.
